Handmade Baubles

Sequin Bauble Here is a  craft activity you can get your kids to do..this bauble was decorated by my eight-year-old daughter as part of Eid decoration.   Materials : Poly Ball 75mm Sequins – Assorted Pearl Headed Pins – Coloured or glue Polystyrene Ornament Hanger Ribbons Assorted How to make a Sequin Bauble:   1. Choose a selection of different  sequins from the assortment. 2. Cover a Poly Ball with the Sequins fastened to the ball with Pearl Pins or else glue them. 3. Push an Ornament Hanger into the top of the decorated ball and tie a length of Satin Ribbon to create a hanger.     We made these brightly coloured textured baubles to hang as part of our Eid decorations.  Happy Crafting!!

DIY Fridge Magnet Toothpick Dispenser

Perfect handmade gift idea for Mum   Great Mother’s Day Gift Idea  Fridge magnet toothpick dispenser ! This  project was  inspired by a gift i received from a dear friend. it is so easy and fun to make. What you will need, Toothpicks in plastic containers Twine  PVA glue (any basic glue would be fine) Small magnets Hot glue gun Embellishments  ( You can pick all these from your  local Dollar Store ) Begin by emptying your toothpicks and  start working with the plastic container. Apply some glue on to the plastic container and wrap it with twine.  Use a glue gun to fix the little piece of magnet.   Pencil Station This an easy craft project your kids can make using recyclables . Using things you have at home, your kid can make his or her own Pencil Station.   You will need, Some Card board tubes/toilet rolls, and some little card board boxes Gift wrapping paper Glue Lid of a sturdy shoe box.  Begin by wrapping the card board tubes and the little boxes with gift wrapping paper. ( I cut the tubes and boxes in  different heights , to make space for short pencils! ) Using the shoe box lid as a base of the Station , glue the  decorated tubes and boxes on to the shoe box lid. Sand Magic   This is a  surprisingly quick and easy, yet beautiful canvas wall art, anyone could do. I gifted this fantastic artwork to a very special friend. To get started you only need to grab a few things....though I have used a similar technique in one of my previous wall art posts, in this post, I am providing you with detailed step-by-step photo instructions. You will need, One medium-sized plain canvas Black and Red poster Paints PVA glue Some sand A sieve Fork, Spoon and a Knife Begin by mixing equal amounts of paint, red and black.   And get the canvas painted. Next, add some PVA glue to the paint mix it well, and paint the final coat of paint. Immediately, place cutlaries on the wet canvas, and dust with sand using a sieve.   Easy Peasy Paper Quiling on Canvas Quilled Wall Art The art of quilling is a form of paper craft.  Strips of paper are shaped by bending and curling the ends around a tool. Here is a colourful wall art I designed. You will need ..... 1, Quilling tool( available online or in craft stores) 2.tweezers(optional) 3. a pair scissors/paper trimmer 4. toothpick( can be used instead of a quilli 5. colored paper strips/ quilling paper 6. some  craft glue 7. a  medium/large-sized canvases  Coloured  paper strips: don't have to be store bought, you can cut out paper strips out of coloured A4 sheets.  If u have a paper trimmer it would come handy.   Or just go old school, ruler and pencil to draw strips  ·         If you do not have a  quilling tool,  you can use a toothpick, which still just helps you with basic quilling. 1.
