Looking for an easy savory dish to add to your next party? These roll ups are easy and cheap to make.
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose
flour
2 tbsp milk
powder
warm
water for kneading,
1slightly
beaten egg
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp oil
4 tbsp melted
butter
2 1/2 tsp instant yeast
1 tsp salt
1 extra egg for glazing.
8 cocktail frankfurts(mini)
Tomato sauce
finely chopped parsley
Sieve the
flour, then add milk powder, sugar, yeast and salt. Then add the oil and butter
and the egg, and mix together.
Start kneading together by gradually adding the warm water a little at a
time. Knead really well until your dough
is nice and soft. Knead for a good 8-10 minutes. The more you knead it the
softer the buns will be.
Touch a bit
of oil with your fingertips and apply all over the ball of dough.
Cover(use cling wrap) and let it rest for an hour until it
doubles in size.
Preparing the frakfurts
Meanwhile, place frankfurts in a saucepan. Cover with cold water. Bring
to the boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 2 to
3 minutes or until cooked through. Drain. Set aside.
Divide the dough into halves . and make two balls of dough so it's easy to handle..
Get one of the balls ....
