Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Pie



Chicken And Mushroom Pie





Make these hearty simple,easy and delicious pies with a few ingredients!
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium brown onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 150g button mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (salt ,black pepper and stock powder for seasoning)
  • 100 ml thickened cream
  • 3 sheets frozen shortcrust pastry, partially thawed
  • 1 tablespoon milk
Season raw chicken breasts with salt, pepper and stock powder and steam until done. Shred the cooked chicken and set aside.

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add onion. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened. 

Add mushroom. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until lightly browned and tender.


Add chicken. Season with pepper.Add  thickened cream. Stir to combine. Transfer to a heatproof bowl. Cool completely.



Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan-forced. 

 Grease  pie tins.







 Cut  sheets of pastry(short Crust Pastry) in to 4 squares.
 Line tins with pastry. Trim edges.

 Spoon chicken mixture evenly between tins.
 Cut remaining pastry sheet into 4 squares. Place 1 piece of pastry over each pie. Trim excess. Press edges together with a fork to seal.( I used puff pastry sheets to cover the pies)



 Brush with milk or slightly beaten egg. Cut a cross into top of each pie. Sprinkle sesame seeds.
 Pie tops can be decorated with cut out pastry shapes if you wish.



 Bake for 40 minutes or until golden. Serve.

School Project:THE FOUR SEASONS

  THE FOUR SEASONS Diorama Here 's how we went about doing our school project; the four seasons. YOU WILL NEED: A sturdy board for the base . Styrofoam  Brown paper /bag Coloured paper Cotton wool PVA Glue Glue gun Some paint B egin by fixing the Styrofoam on the sturdy board.  Use your glue gun to glue it  in place. Paint the backgrounds; Spring -green, Autumn -yellow brown and orange , Summer- yellow and blue.,winter we left it white/ silver. We used the brown paper to make the trees. Cut out flowers and leaves out of colored paper. We glued the trees, leaves flowers and cotton balls-use your glue gun for this.
