Easy After School Snack

  Easy After School Snack I simply love, love baking. To sip a cup of tea, and  to flip over the pages of a good cook book is relaxing for me... While juggling family life and household chores, I  love to cook, quick and simple recipes. but also have been experimenting with recipes which i come across books and magazines ... This simple recipe which i am going to share with you today  is Lorraine Pascale's , " Salt and Pepper Big Fat Bread Sticks".  Her recipes are really simple..nothing fancy ,anyone can do! I got this recipe from Lorraine's DVD- Baking Made Easy...... And I gave it a go, and served  for my kids as after school snack and they  loved these bread sticks.    Though my pics do not have the WOW factor, they tasted simply yum.. My Love Affair With Zip-lock Bags . These Zip Lock bags are so versatile ,and their uses are numerous. We usually use them as snack bags.  They are great because they are see- through, less fragile, can be labeled  , easy access and takes less space as it is less bulky!  Thought  of sharing other ways of using zip-lock bags, 1. Collect your bills and receipts. You can protect them from moisture. 2. Sort your warranty cards, holiday brochures, photographs in zip lock bags.  Be organized by  sorting and labeling them. 3.Great for storing puzzle pieces , playing cards,playdough or toys which always goes missing. Recyclable craft for little girls

Dancing Dolly on a Doily This was an interesting craft,  which my daughter made using recyclable stuff in the pantry. This should be a great inexpensive holiday craft which you can do with your girls .. What you need... A plastic spoon some black pipe cleaners A pink Patty-Pan some long strips of paper A doily A blank sheet A hot  glue gun  Begin by drawing  a smiley face for your dolly on the back of your plastic spoon . Use some  pipe cleaners to make the  hair, and the arms(If u can't find pipe cleaners around the house for curly hair, just roll paper strips around a pencil ) . The hot glue gun comes handy when it comes to fixing the hair on to the spoon. Now for the tutu ,grab the patty-pan and insert the spoon in the center of the  patty-pan case . Paper Quiling on Canvas

Easy Peasy Paper Quiling on Canvas Quilled Wall Art The art of quilling is a form of paper craft . Strips of paper are shaped by bending and curling the ends around a tool.Here is a colourful wall art I designed. Things you will need .....    1, Quilling tool( available online or in craft stores) 2.tweezers(optional) 3. a pair scissors/paper trimmer 4. toothpick( can be used instead of a quilli 5. colored paper strips/ quilling paper 6. some  craft glue 7. a  medium/large sized canvas ·      Notes:  c olored paper strips: doesn't have to be store bought, you can cut out paper strips out of colored A4 sheets. If u have a paper trimmer it would come handy. Mini Cupcakes

  Mini Cup c akes Yeah, I know you have seen cupcakes before. But  It's always great to bake your own goodies. I made these little cuties for my girls and they adored them.   Recipe for the cupcakes: 250 g butter 250g caster sugar 4 eggs 250 grams self-raising flour 2 tsp of vanilla essence Method: Cream the butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs and add vanilla. Sieve the flour over the mixture and fold in gently using a metal spoon.   Grease your patty pan tray, and place your paper patty pans and spray them lightly with cooking oil spray. Spoon the cake mixture into the cases. Bake in a moderate oven (180 C,350 F) for 15-20 minutes. Turn out of the baking tray and then cool on a wire tray before you decorate.
